Relief - I think!

Further to earlier post, I've been checked out and everything is fine. No sign of any lumps and bumps that shouldn't be there.
So, obviously, I'm relieved that there isn't anything to worry about - no throat cancer, nodules or anything like that. The only thing the specialist could see is that some of the small blood vessels near my vocal chords are nearer the surface than normal, so possibly when I sing (which I do a lot) or shout (which I almost never do) the vocal chords are rubbing slightly and causing a bit of blood.
But there is still a bit of frustration - after all the pain is real and chronic, if not serious, but with no real explanation. All the doctor could say is that sometimes it can be like any other ache (in your neck or arm for example). Just take pain killers when it happens and it will go away.
So mood is happy, but with reservations!
