I can not has car but can has camera!

With thanks to everyone for their splendid advice earlier in the week I am now the proud owner of a brand new Canon EOS 400D.

I also went for the package that got me the 70-300 telephoto lens, plus I got an extra battery and UV filters as advised!

I've had a bit of a play and worked out the basic 'point and shoot' capabilities. Pennski took a photo of me that is one of the nicest ones I've seen - I normally don't photograph well. It will be turned into an icon when I have installed the appropriate software (I'm waiting for my new PC before doing that).

I can see that I'm going to have great fun finding out what else it can do!

Now for some indian food and Doctor Who...

Sounds like a similar camera to the one Pennski's namesake bought recently! I had a look through the viewfinder and concluded that with my current varifocal glasses, it's autofocus for me from now on ...
