So I've been a bit, well, woozy this last week. I've been feeling a bit lightheaded - going to very lightheaded if I say bend over and stand up again.

After a few days of this I went to see the doctor and she checked the obvious things: ears are clear so not an inner ear infection, blood pressure is fine so no problem with that (can I say how nice it is that every time I get my blood pressure checked it's fine? As an overweight stress monkey it's always a pleasant surprise!) and I don't have a temperature.

So that leaves either labyrinthitis or sinusitis. I'm getting a bit of tightness around the forehead so sinusitis is possible, but on the other hand my head doesn't hurt when I bend over, which is what usually happens when I have it. So it seems most likely a mild form of labyrinthitis.

So I've been given orders to have a menthol steam twice a day, but I've also been given a prescription for some anti-vertigo drugs. Basically if the steams don't seem to be helping after 2/3 days then get the prescription (which is for a drug with some interesting side-effects including making me sleepy, so no driving!)

Well, it's 3 days later and I'm still feeling woozy. The trouble is it's bad enough to make me uncomfortable (and I find typing particularly weird-feeling) but not enough to be actually debilitating. So do I give it some more time to clear up or head for the drugs?

Tomorrow I've got a couple of meetings which I need to be fairly clear-headed for so my gut feeling is:

1) get the prescription filled tomorrow
2) start taking the tablets after my meetings

Decisions, decisions...
