We has a kitchen!

bookzombieSo, after nearly six months we are now able to use the new kitchen. It's still not quite complete (there's some shelves that need fixing in, the water softner to be installed and the floor to be put down) but we have been able to cook in it!
(I was going to show a photo but for some reason LJ is showing it absolutely huge and I don't have time to fix it right now...)
As for the rest of the house, the new bedroom is almost finished now, but the bathroom suite still needs to be installed, but fingers crossed we should be able to move into it next weekend. We're getting it measured for carpets later in the week, but they are probably not going to be layed until a week or so afterwards.
Of course this means that we have had to start clearing out the rest of the house ready for the rest of the . So this weekend we have been: bringing kitchen equipment back down from the attic room, cleaning it, putting it away, packing books and DVDs into boxes, the books going into the large shed and the DVDs upstairs in the attic room. About half the books are now packed away but we've pretty much run out of boxes and energy for now. I've been doing so much bending down and lifting this weekend that my thighs and buttocks ache in places I'd forgotten I had!
But it's all quite exciting!
