Yesterday was one of those days that was just ... well I won't say perfect but just a good day.
Had a much needed lie in.
My cold seems to have subsided into a bit of a sniffle, so not one of those colds that turn into coughs which hang around for weeks afterward.
My weight is almost back down to pre-WisCon American Breakfast weight.
I was able to sit on the patio in the sun and finish off the review I was writing for Vector (I treated myself to a memory stick so that I can use my work laptop to write on and easily transfer the files to my desktop for transfer).
Went shopping in which I finally bought the new saucepans I'd been meaning to buy for a couple of years (nice anodised, heavy pans to replace the moderately weighted pans with single-screw handles that keep coming loose).
Went on a pilgrimage to Lush with P to get more soap and stuff (for anyone who hasn't come across it, Lush does hand-made soaps, shampoos, bath salts etc. At the risk of sounding terribly girly, their soap is something else).
Went to the cinema and saw Mr and Mrs Smith which was great fun - a lesson in how to write an action flick that is funny, sexy and thrilling and still have a good script - George Lucas take note).
Got back in time to watch the final episode of Doctor Who, more of which a little later.
Ended up, among other things, sitting in the garden at 9:30, with the air still warm, reading.
As I say, not a perfect day, but it comes close!
