Bits and pieces
Aug. 15th, 2006 09:05 pm1. Both
pennski and I are a bit icky-sicky today. She went home from work part way through yesterday, me today. It's one of the those general 'tired and woozy' things (and in my case with additional upset tummy) that don't seem to become anything else. We're both a bit better this evening though.
2. The out-of-town shopping centre in Newbury has been expanding recently. And today I found out that one of the new stores is actually a Borders. With a coffee shop. Don't know what the selection will be like but probably better than the in-town Waterstones.
3. I had a quick look at an IT job site today and reassured myself that if I did decide to move on from my current job next year then there are jobs out there I can do. It probably won't come to that, but it is nice to know that the options are there if I need them.
4. All the books I can get on LibraryThing are now on there, somewhere around 4500. So that excludes the sixty-odd SBNs they couldn't find and the books that don't have SBNs.

3. It must be a comfort. For me, every time I look around, it becomes more and more clear that actually there are no jobs out there I can do.
4. Don't tell me there aren't ways to enter books on LibraryThing without ISBNs? Half my books don't got 'em...

3. Believe me when I say that it wouldn't be easy to get a new job, but just that there are at least some options. I'd rather not if I can avoid it!
4. Oh you can enter books with ISBNs, but you have to put in the title or author and select from the list it gives. So not as quick!
