At the weekend we were at the home of John & Yvonne Meaney, for their 25th Wedding anniversary party. As if you needed proof that we are Not Like Normal People we thought long and hard about what to buy them for their Silver anniversary and decided to buy them a Cyberman Action Figure. Well, you would, wouldn't you?

The gift was a great hit and was posed for various photographs, which hopefully John will remember to send to us so that we can post one or two.

Less welcome, though amusing, was another gift we inadvertently brought. As you may well known [livejournal.com profile] pennski works for a Large Corporation that also happens to produce crisps (or potato chips to Our American Friends). So we brought a carrier bag of fancy crisps over to J&Y's. Yvonne happily took the packets out, looked in the bag, paused and said, with admirable calmness 'There's a dead mouse in this carrier bag'.

Snowy did bring a live one in the other day which got away from her, so we can only assume it was that. Of course, it could have been Snowy & Bob's anniversary present to them...

Cats are generous like that. But did you eat the crisps?

I think we might be able to manage something! We'll bring a selection along to EasterCon.

The in-house quality control team did check the bags carefully for rips or tears and agreed that they were safe to eat!

I suppose from the feline point of view a dead mouse makes just as much sense as a Cyberman action figure, more perhaps. As the song goes:

Love to eat them mousies
Mousies what I eat
Bite they tiny heads off
Chew they tiny feet
