You know that I have mentioned on these pages before that I am a little accident prone? Well, another example:

Yesterday I was clearing the patio of a load of old carpet and other bits and pieces, planning to take them to the dump. This included my old pc monitor that died a month or so ago.

Anyway, I loaded everything into the car, drove to the Andover depo, opened the car door, got a firm grip on the pc monitor, lifted it...and the base happily swung around and clouted me on the nose! How do I manage to do this sort of thing?

Still a little sore, but luckily not broken!

I always said, when I was studying karate, that if my nose got broken I would look on it as an opportunity to have it fixed. You know, straightened, shortened, whatever it might take to make it beautiful! No doubt yours is perfect the way it is.

Honestly? I really don't like my nose very much, particularly in profile (I always find myself looking at videos from shows I've done and thinking 'yuck, does my face really do that?!') but not enough to have anything done!

Well, when we sing . . . our faces do some serious stretching and morphing. My father was a physician, and he told me never, never to touch my nose surgically, because it has so much to do with the voice. I guess I was lucky I didn't!

Given that I have a bit of a tendency to a nasal twang in my voice if I'm not concentrating hard, I wish my nose had less to do with my singing!
