Returning home
Apr. 27th, 2011 09:39 pmSo today we returned from our four day visit with the marvellous
desperance . We had a lovely time, with much wine, food and conversation and ...um...falling asleep on
desperance's sofa (for which, apologies! Take it as a complement to my state of relaxation - I often don't realise how tense I am much of the time until I'm really relaxed...) We had some lovely walks and also visits to Durham and a drive along the Northumberland Scenic route (on the way taking in Warkworth Castle and Barter Books - at which we were reasonably restrained. You know, for us!), accompanied by highlights of the musical theatre genre. And of course we were reacquainted with Baz and Mac, fannish icons that they are... We also ended up writing a list of the various things we are planning to inflict on
desperance when he comes to see us!
Back home now after the five hour drive, to our own cats and what appears to be all the chocolate in the world! Bob has just celebrated our return by bringing a dead pigeon into the bedroom. It's nice to be missed...

The rest of the week will involve a visit from friends, a rehearsal and, oh yes, doing a sort-out of the un-shelved books. That'll take a day by itself - maybe it's just as well that there's some rain scheduled!
Thanks again to
desperance for looking after us so well!
