New Year goals
Jan. 4th, 2006 08:07 amTaking a leaf from
billzilla's book, not so much New Year Resolutions, as things to aim for:
1. Get rid of that extra half stone or so of weight before the show in April. I finished 2005 on the same weight, to the pound, that I was at the beginning of the year, but I had dipped down in between. Okay,
pennski assures me that I'm carrying less fat and more muscle than I was a year ago, but even so... My main problem, I'm afraid, is the 'portion control' thing. I don't often eat outside of meals but I do feel that I have to finish everything on my plate, even when I'm full!
2. Do more writing. The current short story is starting to look more like a novel. Possibly. If I write more of it I might even find out!
3. Try to be more organised at work. Things are going well, but I do disorganise myself into a flap sometimes!
4. Get more sleep; I really don't need another year of feeling tired most of the time. This may mean that I get less reading done in bed, of course.
Um, can't think of anything else right now.
