Australian friends: a call for help!
Jan. 11th, 2009 12:36 pmOne of the British friends we stayed with for Christmas in Australia is a graphic novel enthusiast but is struggling to find a decent supplier in Australia, especially one that doesn't cost twice as much for postal charges as the actual books!
Can anyone recommend a good sf bookshop or dealer who will post books (and preferably has an online ordering service) that we can recommend to our friends?

ETA. Sorry, just realised from the reply fromcoth below that I wasn't entirely clear: my friend is looking for a dealer specifically in Australia, rather than someone who will post from outside the country. Apologies for any confusion.

Doctor Who Christmas special
Jan. 11th, 2009 03:59 pmObviously we have a lot of Sky+ recordings to catch up with, but we started with the Doctor Who Christmas special.
Overall I liked it, especially compared with last year's. This is old news for most of you I'm sure so just a couple of negative comments along with the tremendous fun. Behind cut as I know it hasn't reached veryone yet.
