I went back to the gym on Monday for the first time since I was first ill a few weeks ago (I had been doing some exercise at home so I was not completely out of practice).

The cardio stuff was hard work but do-able. Unfortunately, the longer term effect is that I now have a very sore chest and more of a cough than I did. That'll teach me. It's odd: sometimes doing exercise after you've been ill seems to help clear up the system. At other times it makes you worse!

Alas, work is not getting any less frantic which is probably not helping. I'm still trying to do about 3 people's worth or work in 1 person's time so I'm pretty tired and stressed.

We had our first complete run-through of the show last night which went pretty well, with no real major glitches, just a fair number of bits and pieces.

I am absolutely exhausted today, though! It's going to be a long day...

My exercise-when-sick rule of thumb is: above the neck, light workout is ok; below the neck, rest/soup/light comedy only. Take care...
