Television sometimes mystifies me
Aug. 21st, 2005 07:07 pmOkay, I'm currently reading, and quite enjoying, Kathy Reichs thriller Deja Dead. I had a vague idea that that there is a t.v. version being planned and that David Boreanaz has some connection with it.
So I have a look at the entry on IMDB for the programme (which will be called Bones apparently). So, the name of the main character is the same, as is her job (although by the looks being played by an actress at least 15 years too young, natch) but every other character name is totally different from the characters in the book. I wonder if it will be set in Quebec, like the novels?
So my question is: why buy up a book property and then change pretty much everything about it? This is a question I have asked many times and have never got a satisfactory answer...
