You know, sometimes I just get too enthusiastic and try too hard.

After my excellent run yesterday I had a little soreness on the left calf (I'm prone to pulling calf muscles it seems).

Today I went for another run and (you're way ahead of me I'm sure!) I felt my calf go 'plink' and now I am in serious hobbling about the house status. Damn.

I'm sure the main thing is that I just shouldn't have gone running again today, given how new I am too it but I will rush in...

So the ol' RICE routine (Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation) kicks in and, from the quick google I've done for these sorts of things, I probably won't be doing any running for at least a week - could be much longer.

The bright side is that, as I said, I am a bit prone to calf injuries and they don't normally take too long too mend in my case.

But, again, damn...
