The last few weeks have been interesting, mainly good. Italy was fantastic, if very tiring - it was definitely not a restful holiday, but a really good one.

Last Saturday Andover Musical Theatre Company (previously known as Andover Musical and Operatic Society) had a workshop. The main idea was to give potential new members a taste of what we do. The first couple of hours was with a singing teacher, learning a new song ('One Short Day' from Wicked) and then in the afternoon someone came and choreographed moves to it. Then in the late afternoon there was a free half-hour 'mini-concert' in which the company members performed half a dozen songs, followed by a performance of the new song we'd just set.

It was all great fun (though I performed 'Stars' as a solo and forgot the words for - oh - about one sentence!

I'm also: very busy at work, fighting off a cold, rehearsing twice a week for the concert in November, plus Carl Brandon Award reading.

You know what? I'm exhausted!

I really am feeling that right now I've just run out of spoons. When I'm not doing things that I have to I've just been pretty much vegetating. Playing some easy video games (just finished Dragon Age II on easy mode), some light reading, watching silly t.v., that's about it.

It's not that anything that has been happening is bad (except the cold and intermittent continuing back problems) there's just been a lot of it at once.

Snooze...
