My inner geek is very happy. Doctor Who:
The return of Sarah Jane Smith, my favourite companion.
An examination of what it feels like for the Doctor when all his friends grow old and he doesn't and what it means to his friends to be left behind.
Anthony Head in great form.
Laughter and tears.

The first great story in the new season (and proving once again that Russell T. Davis is not the best writer for the series).

The latest run has been very impressive. David Tennant makes a very good Doctor and an improvement on Chris Eccleston.

Seeing as someone other than Russell wrote last night's episode I had a suspicion you would finally pass comment on the series this weekend. :P

In fact we've just watched it again with [livejournal.com profile] bookzombie's parents. Malcolm loved it and Jenny fell asleep - which she blamed on having already seen it.

I loved the 2 face-offs in that episode - girly bonding versus macho posturing.
