As I finished work late yesterday and ended up in the house by myself I decided to watch Star Wars III: Revenge of the Sith.

And you know, it really doesn't get any better on second viewing. The acting, even from good actors, is bad, at best. Sure it looks pretty, but no more than some computer games I've played. Mr Lucas needs to learn that busier is not necessarily better!

I'm not going to be rushing to watch it again any time soon...

I've often wondered if the last three Star Wars films were unintentionally bad, or if they were deliberately meant to be like Japanese 'No' theatre, with actors deliberately avoiding expression to allow for the widest possible interpretations. Or maybe I'm giving Lucas way too much credit.

yes, you Lucas too much. Anyone who has to retrofit his magnum opus with that charlatan Joseph Campbell has no sense whatsoever of irony, let alone intentional badness. They are all irredeemable shite.
