Chocolate temptation
Dec. 7th, 2006 01:43 pmA small chain of chocolate shops have been opening in our area over the last year or so, called Hotel Chocolat. I may have regailed some of you to tales of the God of Eastereggs that
pennski got me earlier in the year from there.
Well, I found out from one of my colleagues that they also do a Chocolate Tasting Club.
The idea is that you pay about £15 a month or every two months, and they send you a variety box of chocolates. Each of the chocs has a full description of what is in them and what inspired them. As you eat them you are asked to rate each type of chocolate out of ten, plus the opportunity to make additional comments. They use this feedback to find out what does and doesn't work and decide what to make available in their shops.
How could we resist an idea like that? It's like performing a public service, but with chocolate!
In case any other similarly weak-willed people think this sounds like fun, then the web site is http://www.hotelchocolat.co.uk

Actually, I can resist chocolate but... A Fopp has appeared in the Next but one unit. (It was an entirely resistable Xtreme Sportz shop before, and before that the whole block was Next. We're all relieved it's not a W**th*rsp**ns, although I'd lay odds that Boots gets converted into one.) Oh dear. Oh dearie me. Lock up your credit cards.
