Yesterday

Many thanks for everyone who sent us various 'congratulations' messages yesterday. And special thanks to all those who made 'we don't look old enough to have been married 17 years'; that never gets old!

We had a great time. We actually managed to get seats both on the way and on the way back - although the return journey was somewhat spoiled by the group of middle-aged, rather drunken men talking very loudly about sport just in front of us!

Spamalot was great fun: very, very silly and just about the right length - much longer and the sillyness would have started to get a little trying. As the saying goes, there was something in it to offend everyone! Oh yes and my inner Doctor Who fanboy was very happy: Peter Davison played King Arthur!

As the show was fairly short, we had time for a quick side-trip to Forbidden Planet to catch up on some books we really needed to find shelf space for (desperance, you can eat tonight!).

All in all a very nice day was had.

Seventeen years seems difficult to fathom - neither of you seems old enough for being married that long - but in doing the math, it's obviously possible. :-)
Anyway, congratulations, and many happy returns.
