So, picking up some of the easy ones first (some of these I'm really going to have to think about). All of these are subject to change without notice!

Top 5 Blockbuster movies
Coming to you mainly from the land of Predictable
- Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan. On reviewing still easily my favourite ST film.
- The Empire Strikes Back. Still holds up best of the SW films. The only thing that persistently annoys me about it is that the time lines between Luke's training and Han & Leia's story doesn't hang together
- Raiders of the Lost Arc. I saw this three times in the cinema. I can see more flaws with it now that didn't mean anything to me when it came out but still hugely enjoyable.
- Back to the Future. Again I saw this one three times in the cinema. Just a great fun movie. Now find the measure of Marty's family's 'successful' life to be shallow but hey ho.
- Sneakers. A non-sf entry. A great fun 'caper' movie with an ensemble cast obviously have the time of their lives.
- Bubbling under (especially as none of these are very recent): The Lord of the Rings trilogy - has its flaws but still has much to enjoy. Ocean's Eleven (the George Clooney version) - a toss up between this and Sneakers for my favourite 'caper' movie, Sneakers just winning.
- A Matter of Life and Death. Re-watched recently and still adore.
- Scrooge. The Alastair Sim version, obviously!
- The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp. A recent discovery but a fine film.
- The Ladykillers. There's got to be at least one Ealing comedy in here!
- Village of the Damned. A choice bit of British sf/horror.
